HAPPY 2010－Jasmine

HAHAHA. BYE BYE 2009

Yesterday I went to downtown Louisville to celebrate the last day of 2009. It was not really celebrating, I went there after work with two other girls who I have never met before. they are aupairs from another agency. One is from Columbia and the other one is from Thailand. The New Year's Eve party on fourth street of Louisville was 'okay', not as big as the one we have in Taiwan or some other cities,like NY. But we still had fun and got cash 'from the sky'. I guess it was the sponsor's idea to give away money. I got a bunch of one-dollar bills 'from the ground', I thought they were trash, then I picked them up and took a look, they were cash! I was surprised but the other two girls grabbed them from my hand and divided them into a few bucks, I got three dollars back. They were supposed to be mine money. Well...better than nothing. It's NEW YEAR. Everybody deserved to be happy.

It was too cold last night so we didn't stay long, I picked them up at 8:30pm, got there at 9:30pm, went to a pub and had a few drinks, I was the one driving so I only had a bottle of rootbeer. Then we went outside to the public area and waited for 2010. Finally it's 11:59pm. DJ show was so loud, I could barely hear the crowd and the count-down. It was chaos when the host threw the cash into the air, people went crazy. I got some from the ground as I mentioned before. Some guys were dancing or being goofy around us, but it was so loud and cold. We decided to go home, I was exhausted but I needed to drive the girls home, I drove them home around 12:30am, one lives much closer to downtown, the other one lives in the middle of my house and downtown. I live in north east of Louisville, 30 minutes away from downtown. I was driving not so fast because hostdad told me there would be cops everywhere. When I got home, it's almost 2am. What a day. Next Year hopefully I will be in New York Time Square.
